About me

Hello and welcome! I’m a machine learning researcher with a background in computational neuroscience. I grew up in Malaysia, completed my bachelor studies in Nebraska, USA and am now based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I’m interested in the intersection of human cognition and artificial neural networks and have spent my doctoral studies exploring how both we and machines perceive and understand the world.

Now, together with a R&D team at Alliander, I contribute towards building a foundation model for controlling the power grid, focusing on outage prediction and renewable energy integration.

Beyond the lab, I’m an avid runner, dancer and boulderer (i.e. a dancer on walls). I enjoy diverse conversations and the continuous journey of learning and discovery.
